Spring Break 2011 Destination: El Dorado

The first 2 days of Spring Break, we had school to make up snow days.  Wednesday morning, the boys and I headed for El Dorado!  The weather was beautiful!  It was even warm enough for the boys to play in the sprinkler!!  We visited my old high school and tried to take pictures of the new high school being built but couldn't get close enough.  We had so much fun with Mimi and Papaw!  We did not want to leave but everyone missed Roy!!!! 

Springfield Zoo

We had such a great time at the Springfield Zoo!  The weather was fantastic!  We rode the train and saw many animals.  The favorites were:  Elephants, Giraffe, and Alligators.  You can actually feed the Giraffe at this Zoo!  It was neat!  The snakes were a hit as well.  We roared at the Tigers and the Lions but got no response (maybe next time).  Carter's favorite animal was seeing the Giraffe up close.  Grayson's favorite animal was the Elephant.  Bishop Family had a fun-family day!

Blizzard Part 2

Fun in the snow!  Roy had to borrow a shovel from our neighbor to dig out!  Never seen so much snow!

Blizzard 2011

Well, we received 22 inches of snow last night and today!  More snow than I have ever seen in my life!  It was beautiful to watch and a fabulous surprise!  The weather guys said to expect 2-4" so you can imagine our surprise to see a white paradise!  Roy even got to stay home too!

Snow Angels!

We had 2 Snow Days this week!  Springdale received about 4 inches of snow.  The boys and I had a great time playing outside!  Carter and Grayson made Snow Angels and threw snowballs.  Hopefully next snowfall we can build a snowman!  Great times!

Spending time with the Bishop Family

Spending time with Roy's sisters and their families this past weekend was so much fun!  We had a wienie roast, roasted marshmallows, and the children ran and played all afternoon!  It was neat to catch up with everyone.  We don't see them often enough.  Our niece, Katie, is getting married in June, so we will see everyone again that day.  It was a great time with the Bishop clan!

Grayson turns 2!

 Grayson had a fantastic Second birthday!  He received many cars, trucks, clothes, and his very own inch worm!  He is still learning how to ride it!  His cake was Thomas the Train and was quite tasty!  Grayson figured out how to blow out the candle after several attempts, and he loved us singing Happy Birthday to him.  It was a special birthday weekend with Mimi and Papaw.
